And so here we are at the midway point of 2017. The year is flying by and so did June…

Zero, haven’t left Cyprus.

A lovely date night where we went to find a shipwreck, had a lovely meal and chatted the night away.

Quality pool time with Ash.

Finally getting to explore Famagusta even if the main part I was looking forward to was a bit of a let down.

Horrific toothache!

We had a Cyprus family meal in a lovely restaurant near the harbour one night called Pinguino. Delicious food, particularly the halloumi sticks!

We were also invited for a free team meal to a Cypriot/Italian restaurant called Rimini’s which was lovely also.

E Cosi Gelateria is a firm new favourite of ours and not for the reason you would expect. We popped in one day for an afternoon ice cream and actually left with healthy juices instead! Now, we are slowly becoming regulars. We did get ice cream one evening which is delicious but the juices are our usual choice.

In a bid to achieve a more healthy diet, I’ve been enjoying a lot of feta cheese salads.

It is peak season for cherries, yum!

I made fajitas at the beginning of the month and they’ve become Ash’s favourite dish of mine so we’ve had them quite a lot.

E Cosi juices of course!

More healthy options. Every now and again, I decide I want a healthier lifestyle but a few days in, slip back into bad habits so now I am really giving it a go.

Love Island. It is my summer jam and has been for the past three years but this year, I am much more into it and have even got Ash into it too.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians S13. My guilty pleasure which I am finally caught up on.

Harvesting The Heart by Jodi Picoult. I have always been a Jodi Picoult fan but have read surprisingly few of her books. I think it’s because I know she’ll always be there as a back up so I tend to read lesser known authors books first. When someone left this book on my hotel book shelf, I nabbed it. I am only about a third of the way through so far but it is about how some people just don’t have a maternal instinct and it’s quite interesting.

Our one year anniversary is this month and to celebrate, we are having a little mini break away for a night to the other side of the island which will be lovely.

It’s also my birthday this month! I’m keeping it low key this year and we’re just going camping but I am so excited.
